Sometimes gripper jaws are not the right solution for your parts because a squeeze might damage them, or their shape doesn’t provide a good latching feature.  If your parts are made of steel, magnets could be a good alternative for moving your parts.  Magnet end effectors can grab thin parts, heavy parts, round parts, and large parts and can be customized to allow for de-stacking sheets and moving heavy weldments in the same cell.
