Bridge Cranes
Givens Engineering is proud to be a leading manufacturer of bridge cranes in Canada. Our G-Rail™ bridge cranes are considered one of the most lightweight crane systems and are designed for speed and responsiveness. Our overhead cranes are designed and manufactured to be erected quickly and adapted to any situation.
Jib Cranes
Givens Engineering’s G-Rail™ jib cranes are among the lightest industrial jib cranes in the world. That’s important when talking about jib cranes because rotational momentum must be kept to a minimum. G-Rail™ jibs are often „foundationless“, making installations easier and less expensive.
Industrial Manipulators
Givens Engineering’s industrial manipulators are the high-speed, high-performance industrial material-handling solution. Unlike cranes, manipulators float the load without up/down push buttons. Tilts and rotations are easier and more precise than with any crane.
Slide-Column
The Slide-Column manipulator combines the best features of a manipulator and a crane. A slide column is a very lightweight lifting device that can travel as far as a crane can: up to 9m in the direction of the bridges and 40m in the direction of the runways.
Hooks & End Effectors
End effectors are the devices that hang from any light crane or industrial manipulator and attach to a load. Usually they are based around gripping but can alternatively use suction cups or magnets. Handlebars with push buttons are part of any end effector, along with rotational actuators.
Torque Arms
Givens Engineering is a trusted manufacturer of custom torque arms and torque reactor arms which can be customized to suit your unique requirements. Torque arms withstand the torque developed by nutrunners and bear the weight of the nutrunner. Our torque arms float without up/down pushbuttons.
Engineering Services
Givens Engineering provides PSR services for lifting devices, safeguarded machinery and racks. A PSR is a Prestart Health and Safety Review which is required by the Ontario Health and Safety Act, Reg 851, Section 7
